Hero Video Campaign

Do we tell Sweater’s founding story, or use the script with the monkey? Why not both? Sweater led the charge to offer Venture Capital opportunities to the average Joe (or Jane). We needed people to take us seriously, but we also needed to not take ourselves too seriously. We got tens of thousands of new users to try on Sweater before they even launched.

No Monkey Business

Sweater came to us with a revolutionary financial tool. Make venture capitalism, which used to only be available to a select few, accessible to the everyday person. Our assignment was to boil it down, not dumb it down - we needed to take something complex and make it understandable yet exciting. While we love getting silly with it, we wanted to strike a somewhat serious tone with sweaters videos. People want to trust their financial tools, and a big part of that is knowing that they take your money  seriously.

 

Like what Sweater does for startup companies, we got to help them on the ground floor when they were pre-revenue. Our campaign gave them validation before reaching the market and a massive email list of people eager to join. We quintupled their value in the public eye (and they deserve it!) Through the saturation of our message, we made sweater the lead player. If anyone comes up with something similar, people instantly say, “Oh! Like Sweater?”
